December 1999, Yo Kano, CEO of ICSB, Inc., was invited by the Thai Association of the Blind(TAB) and the Ratchausuda College, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand to hold a concert for the celebration of the seventy-second birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and the Year of the Disabled. He also organized a computer music workshop for the blind at the Ratchusuda College.
December 1st: Yo Kano was welcomed by the Vice
Executive Director of the TAB, Mr. Monthian Buntan, at the airport in
Bangkok.

December 3rd: Yo Kano participated in the
reception of the United Nations Conference of the Disabled held at the
Conference Center of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia
and the Pacific in Bangkok. Minister of Education, Ms. Kanjana Silpa-Archa,
Minister to the Prime Minister's Office, Mrs. Supratra Massadit, other Thai
government officials and the United Nations staff participated in the
reception.

December 4th: The concert was held at the
Lumpini Park. Yo Kano played with Thai musicians. They performed Jazz, Thai pop
music, King's original compositions, and Kano's original compositions.

December 7th and 8th: Yo Kano gave a computer
music workshop at the Ratchausuda College, Mahidol University. He introduced a
screen music reader Jaws for Windows script developed by Dr. David Pinto,
Professor of the Southern California Conservatory of Music. It works with a
popular sequencer application Cakewalk. With this script, visually impaired
person can indepenndently do MIDI sequencing, write music notation, and
translate to Braille music.
